Orthopedic surgery, also known as orthopedics, is a branch of surgery dealing with the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use various surgical and non-surgical procedures such a hip replacement surgery and spinal fusion to treat all problems relating to one’s bones and joints. Orthopedic surgeries are generally done to treat many different conditions and bone diseases related to age or other accident-related injuries and problems. The surgery needs to be planned and thought of properly. Any carelessness or lack of knowledge can cause severe damage to your physique, foot and ankle, bones, and health.

These surgeries vary in terms of risk, duration, and recovery time after orthopedic surgery. A person who spaces specializes in orthopedic problems (bone and joint problems) is called an orthopedic surgeon or orthopedist. Orthopedics deals with the skeletal system and other interconnecting parts. These parts are bones, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments.
